One of the most beautiful experiences I have ever had in helping others is as a volunteer. Obviously for most people like you and me, choosing to become a volunteer isn't a completely selfless act, it's about you too.
If you want to:
-Gain experience
- Meet new people
-See new places
-Learn something new
As you can see, volunteering doesn't have to be solely about contributing to a good cause, but it can also be about you learning a new experience and growing as a human being.
But please, take your time to do some research so you can be sure that you're signing up for a meaningful, ethical project. That way you'll get a lot more out from your experience.
